Teen Mom

I'm watching Teen Mom. I'm not even sure why I watch it. I think maybe all the drama and dumb decisions they make are amusing.

Farrah is wicked. I feel sorry for her parents. She is so mean to her parents when they are always trying to help her. Maybe that is part of the problem, they do too much for her and she takes them for granted. Farrah is unrealistic and demanding.

Amber has good intentions, but I think she really doesn't know how to follow through on those intentions. She loses her temper too much and blames all of her problems on Gary and for getting her pregnant. I think she forgets, that it takes two to tango. She plays Gary, because she knows he will come back to her, all she has to do is say the word and he will come running.

Maci is living in a dream world, just trying to find someone to play house with. She is crazy to be even considering having a another baby. What will she do with another child.

Kaitlyn and Tyler are the most realistic out of the entire group of Teen Moms. But, I think Kaitlyn is too busy trying to play house to focus on graduating from school. Supposedly in the next episode, Kaitlyn talks to Tyler about breaking up. Kaitlyn and Tyler are my favorite couple and it would be a disappointment to see them break up.

Lack of Time

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Life has been a little crazy with trying to find someone to replace my roof, getting the kids ready for school, school orientations and working on opening an online store. Trying to find drop shippers is a lot work. I'm having trouble finding a reliable drop shipper that carries all the products I am looking to sell on my site. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions are welcome.

I am having trouble finding a descent job, so I decided to employ myself and pave my own path. I send out probably around fifty resumes a month and nothing seems to come up. I am tired of waiting for a job to come up, I figure it is time to stop waiting and do something about it. I am hoping this will turn into a reliable business that will give me the opportunity to open my own store soon, possibly in the next year or two.

I guess that's why you shouldn't try to get married on the edge of the water.

Change Is Never Easy

Time passes by so quickly and before we know it everything has changed. Life is no longer what we knew it to be, nor do you know how to get it back. One day your walking around thinking life could not be more perfect and you have everything you have ever dreamed of. Then another day, your standing there wondering what happened to your life and asking yourself questions. What should I have done differently? Why didn't I see it coming? Why do I have to be the one who's life is turned upside down? Am I missing something? I thought that we were supposed to be in control of our own destiny. But, are we really in control of our own life? No matter how much we wish our life could stay the same, it never does. Change is a part of life that I will never get used to.

Then there are the times when you try so hard to accept the changes in your life and try to turn it into something positive. But, no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to achieve your goal. It makes you wonder if maybe God had a different plan for your life, but your just not seeing it. If that is the case, I wish he would show me the path I am supposed to choose. But, I know it is never that easy.

I know we are supposed to feel blessed for all the good we have in our life and there is always someone out there who has it harder than you. But, that isn't always an easy thing to do when you have lost something and don't know how to get your life back to the way it used to be or a good version of what it used to be. It doesn't make it any easier to accept what is no longer and how your life is has changed.

Why does it seem like some people just seem to stroll through life making it look so easy and then there are others who seem to struggle the whole way through? What are they doing differently? What should I be doing differently?

Racist Craigs List Posting

Posted below is a Craigs List Ad I stumbled upon today when I was reading the rants and raves out of boredom. This is one of the mild ads, I refuse to post what some of them said. Well, there are several ads on here from what appears to be from the same person or group of people. There are several of these on Craigs List where they like to rip on Americans and the American way of life.

Ads like this really disgust me. It shows a perfect example of one race being racist towards Americans. We are talking about a cultural group of people who have experienced racism, committing racism against the people who are born naturals to the country they have migrated to. I am a proud American and it really angers me when immigrants living in our own country are racist against us. Racism angers me period! Come on, do they really think they have a right to be racist towards Americans when they are living on American Soil profiting from opportunities here that they can't get in their own country? They are supposedly here for a better way of life and to achieve the American Dream. Then there is people like this who sit behind a computer like a coward and rip on the American people when they don't know us nor do they take the time to know us. People like this tend to spend to much time watching the television believing Americans are like what they see on the television and not enough time out in the real world getting to know what most Americans are like.

They have no clue that racism breeds racism and they are cowards by sitting there spouting out their racist words on Craigs List where no one can see their identity.

I think people should go on there just to flag the posts to have them removed until they get tired of their ads being removed and move on. This is taking freedom of speech too far. It's no better than white supremacy.

Warning:  The Craigs List Ad Below Definitely Does Not Reflect My Views!

The not too bright typical American can't understand what your posts states. You are right on target and correct in what you say, every word is right. Remembering this country long ago abandoned family and today lives with the television concept of what family is can only expect to live as television people live, between commercials and without merit or reality. The American losers will soon be run over by immigrants seeking a higher life. We already see it well established in well to do suburban neighborhoods where the white trash mow the lawns of the Arab business owners and professionals. Used to be a sign of high status to have a Japanese gardener, now the white losers trim the Asian owned lawns. Used to be a sign of wealth to have Black women and men working in the white man's house, no more, now whites work in the lovely homes of Blacks. What's wrong with all this? NOTHING. Welcome to the real world. I've said it before and I'm saying it again, nothing worse than white trash. Stay in your trailer parks, please.

Thursday's 80's Flash Back- Joan Jett's Crimson & Clover

The View on Interracial Relationships

Interracial relationships is an age old debate. Whoopi is right, this is the year 2011, love is about loving another person. Love shouldn't be about race. A person shouldn't be judged by who they love, just as they shouldn't be judged by the color of their skin. For the people who love someone outside their race, it is about love.

Race is a cultural issue, more than it is an issue about the color of someones skin. I feel that someone can preserve their own culture and still love someone outside of their race, because you can still teach you children about your own culture. It's up to you to teach your children about your culture. If your teaching your children about your own culture and it is about the color of your skin, then you will be missing out on the important lessons about your own culture and breeding racism. You will be teaching them the same ideal that enslaved African Americans and took away their rights. It's the same thing as saying staying away from this person because they are white or because they are black or Chinese, etc. The lesson should be, yes we all different, but that is what makes us beautiful, that is what makes us humans. Children should be taught about the cultural differences, be taught to celebrate cultural differences, and we can all co-exist together as one race.  It's kind of like a bag full of M & M's, if you look at them they are all different on the outside, but on the inside they are all the same. What makes us different and the same is our individuality and our personalities.

But, if your teaching your children about the history of your culture with the lesson love is love, regardless of another persons skin color, you will be teaching them a valuable lesson in life. Loving someone is about loving them for who they are and not wanting to change them, because they are beautiful just the way they are. When you make culture about skin color, you are adding fuel to the fire of racism. If you walk away from someone, because of the color of their skin, you may be walking away from the only chance you have to love in your life. You may be walking away from the one person in your life that you maybe willing to die for or the one person who will truly see you for who you are and love you just the way you are. If we separate people by race, then should they be separated by intelligence, social class, wealth and so on?

My son tries to hide who he is, no matter what I teach him society teaches him a different lesson. He shouldn't feel like he needs to hide who he is or feel ashamed of who he is. My son is half middle eastern, he isn't looked at by some as being white, he is looked at as being middle eastern. He was born right here in the United Sates. He is American and he is part of the human race. He isn't less than someone else, because of where his father came from. That's what racism teaches, it teaches shame.

When I met my husband their was an instant connection and bond. Our relationship isn't about race. Our relationship is about love. We bonded in a way that we can't bare to be apart. We love each other for our differences and our similarities. No one knows us like we know one another. It burns me up to think that some people think we shouldn't be together, because of the color of our skin.

God put us all on this earth as part of the human race. He didn't put us on this earth to have hatred towards one another. Hatred is a sin humans created. We are failing ourselves and we are going against the word of God by being racist towards another race. God created us to look different from one another, but as all part of the human race. If he created us all to look all the same, we would be animals. But, we are not animals, we are humans. A tiger and a horse can't mate, but humans can mate and are capable of love. You can't put a tiger and a horse together and expect them to get along, but you can put two humans together and they can get along.  Animals are not capable of same mentality as humans and God did not intend for us to separate ourselves the same as animals are separated.

Orbs?!

I made this video of my cat around 4:30 in the morning when I was up with my husband who was getting ready for work. I was waiting for her to tap on the door knob like she usually does, but in this video she didn't do it. I watched the video later and I noticed there are little lights that fly over her head while she is looking to the left, then there is another light that comes down and swoops next to her head on the left. I didn't see the lights while I was recording the video. Not until later, when I accidently uploaded the wrong video to my computer. There is nothing around that could have made the light. The kitchen curtains were closed and are dark brown with a lining.

Teens Brutally Beat And Killed A Man Because He Was Black

Warning: This video contains disturbing images.

Jackson, Mississippi is no stranger to racially motivated crimes. On June 26th, James Craig Anderson became another victim of the White Supremacy Hate Crimes in Jackson, Mississippi. A group of teens were partying and decided to go out and hunt down a black man to beat and kill. They pulled into the first parking lot off of the high way and that is where they found James Anderson. They brutally beat him, shouting racial slurs and White Supremacy. When the teens pulled out, James Anderson had started stumbling along the side of the road and that is where the teens intentionally drove him over killing him.

Deryl Dedmon, Jr., right, could face two life sentences in connection with the killing. John Aaron Rice, left, has been charged with simple assault.
Deryl Dedmon, Jr., right, could face two life sentences in connection with the killing. John Aaron Rice, left, has been charged with simple assault.

It makes you wander where do these boys get their hatred from. Did they learn the hate from their parents, friends or society? Their parents failed the boys by not teaching them compassion and allowing them to believe they can get away with a heinous crime like the one they committed against James Anderson. I have no compassion or understanding for anyone that is capable of committing a hideous crime like these two boys have committed. Their parents are just as guilty as Deryl Dedmon and John Rice, they raised these boys and fed them the anger and hatred they needed to commit the crime against another human being. Their hatred became the smoking gun in their crime against James Anderson.

Attached is the link where you can read the press release and get information to donate to the James Anderson Foundation For Racial Tolerance

The mission of the James Anderson Foundation For Racial Tolerance.
"The mission of the foundation is to promote racial tolerance, unity and understanding particularly in the Jackson, Mississippi metropolitan area, the state of Mississippi and in the United States. Funds raised by the foundation will be used to sponsor seminars, social events, community meetings and other events to encourage a dialogue to promote racial unity, understanding and tolerance."

Mommy Daughter Day

I enjoyed my day yesterday with my little girl. Well, she's not so little anymore, but she will always be my little girl. I think she enjoyed the quiet time too. Her mood was better than it has been in a while. I tried taking advantage of my son staying at his friends house and my oldest moved out again. My little sweetheart has had a rough summer, she lost her best friend right after the start of summer and she had to deal with her new found friend coming to visit her monthly and to add to it, she will be starting middle school this year when she returns to school. I can only imagine how scary that may be for her to have to start middle school with out her best friend. So, it's been a very emotional summer for her this year.

We walked to some of local stores close by to wander around and see what interesting things we could find, watched Rio, which was a very cute movie and I helped her put her room back together, so she can reclaim the top of her dresser, so she can actually use it for her things. Then she sat with us and watched Paper Hearts before going to bed. She enjoyed Paper Hearts, but it was a little hard for me to stay interested in the movie.

She found a curling iron she wanted that has different attachments. She insists she is old enough for a curling iron and she needs one to do her hair with this year, because I don't like her using mine because it gets too hot. It's like she went from playing with Barbie dolls to big girl stuff over night. I bought her an electric razor for girls, because the thought of her using a regular razor scares me. I'm afraid, she will cut a big gash in her leg or something while she's shaving.

I think it's harder when the baby starts growing up, especially when they're a girl. I have to refrain from putting her hair in the cute little pig tails. She's growing out of the pig tails and graduating to a curling iron. Barbie Dolls and pig tails are a thing of the past. Now she is reminding me, she needs her eye brows waxed before going back to school.

My son started with the big boy stuff around the same age. But, it's a little different with boys. He started with wanting cologne, deodorant and Axe shampoo. So, it was a little easier. Now, he's into liking girls and always having a girl friend. Well, at least what they refer to as having a girl friend is. Such as texting one another and an occasional school dance. Which isn't too bad. It was funny when his best friend told me when he was in another room that "Adam and his girl friend tell each other the "L" word. The only thing he does that I have trouble with is, he doesn't want anyone picking up his phone and when he gets grounded he has to hand over his phone. But, before doing so, he deletes the messages as quickly as possible. Well, there's that and it is no longer cool to go anywhere with his parents, he would rather be with his friends as much as possible. Which, I am okay with as long as I know where he is at all times and he stays out of trouble.

My two youngest are only a year apart and my oldest just graduated from high school a year ago. So, I have had a lot of coming of age to deal with in the past year. I think I am finally starting to accept all the changes going on with my children. It just makes me realize, I need to enjoy all those little days I can get with my children now while I still can, before they are all grown up and on their own.

Silly Sasha Kitty

Sasha Kitty has her language and a her own way of communicating with us. She sits there and stares at the door like she is trying to will the door to open or until someone sees her sitting there staring at the door. If that doesn't work, she meows and points to the door knob. I think she gets aggravated she can't open the doors to go outside, because she can open almost all the doors in the house by either pushing them open by pouncing on them or pulling them open with her paw.

Sleepless In Michigan

I have been having this problem lately for about a month or longer, where I keep breaking out in hives for some unknown reason. It just comes out of the blue and usually disappears just as quickly. However this time, the hives didn't disappear as quickly as they usually do and they got worse than normal. So, I was finally forced to go the Urgent Care. Now, I am sleepless in Michigan, because they put me on medication that causes you to have difficulty sleeping and it is definitely causing me to have difficulties sleeping, gave me a steroid shot in the arm, some cream and sent me on my way. Just before leaving, the pharmacist warned my husband, the pills may cause moodiness. My poor husband, I am pmsing (or as my husband would say "pims") and I am on pills that may cause moodiness, that's a double whammy for him. He's a sports blogger but, you may see his blog take a turn this week and he may be blogging about how his wife is driving him crazy instead.

So here I am wide awake blogging at 12:45 a.m., feeling a little itchy and like someone gave me a good slug in the arm.

Most people post pictures, but I think I will skip on this one. I would prefer not to show my spots or my bare back to the wonderful world of Internet tonight. I never looked good in polka dots and I am not about to start sporting them to the world now or anytime soon.

Well, they have no clue what is causing me to break out in hives, other than it is an allergic reaction to something and suggested I change my laundry soap and my body soap. The strange thing is, I have been using the same soaps for as long as I can remember. My husband thinks, it could possibly be stress causing me to break out in hives. It's a good possibility raising three children, one which is a teenager and two hormonal tweenies.  If they don't go away and stay away soon (the hives that is, not my wonderful children), I am going to have to look at other options. I am relieved to get some medicine and hopefully some relief from the ugly spots and the itching as soon as possible, please.

Well, we are getting a really loud thunder storm here and I think I better get off the lap top. Some one told my father about a woman who was using a lap top in a thunder storm and she got shocked from the lap top and ended up throwing her lap top across the room.

Well, there was a loud boom, good night everyone.

Muslim Woman Reports Being A Victim Of A Hate Crime

In Ann Arbor MI, a Muslim woman says she was a victim of a hate crime Sunday morning. She was on her way home from training to be a nurse on Sunday morning when a man began honking at her, he pulled up next to her and she rolled down her window, because she realized he was trying to get her attention. That is when he pulled a gun out and began yelling racial slurs at her, she told Fox 2 News he said,

"my people should die" and "how we're terrorists."

The woman, says she contacted the police, got the plate number and the make and model of the car. But, when the police ran the plate number, it didn't come back registered to a car.

The American Islamic Relations report the case to the FBI and the FBI are investigating the case.

Genetically, Race Does Not Exist In Humans

I was watching the CBS News yesterday and learned an interesting fact about race. Race does not exist in humans genetically. If a scientist were to look at two humans genetic make up, they could not be able to tell the difference between them.   Yes, there is a difference between one person to another. But, really if you think about it. There is a difference between all of us. Just as personality traits are passed down from our parents, so are our physical appearence. In order for race to be recognized scientifically there would have to genetic differences amoung the human race that makes one race genetically different from the other. Scientists have never been able to find a genetic difference in humans that seperates one race from another. Genetically speaking, we are all the same. Race is more cultural, political and socialogical concept in society and that is how it should be. In the scientific sense, the world would be color blind. Scientifically, there is one race, the human race and that is how is should be.

Detroit's Womens Clinic Attacked By A Molotov Cocktail

Sometime between July 16th and July 18th, a west side Detroit women's clinic was attacked by a Molotov cocktail. Someone cut a hole in the fence and tossed a Molotov cocktail in the fence near the clinics window. The cocktail, which was made by a juice bottle fizzled out and only damaged the outside of the building. The clinic's administrators says, the protesters protest the clinic every Friday and Saturday. The problem with this is, the protesters assume that everyone woman who walks through their doors are there only to have an abortion. However, the clinic provides health care and prenatal services to women also.
The Summit Women's Center had to install security cameras and replace the window with a block window to protect their patients and staff.

6 Year Old Girl A Victim Of A Hate Crime

In Livonia, MI, a 6 year old Saniya was at the AMC 20 on Sunday when a passing red F-150 truck with a black cover on the bed threw a cup of soda or something at Saniya and hit her in the face as her and her family were walking out of the movie theater after seeing the Smurfs. The men in the truck threw the cup that hit her in the face and were shouting racial slurs and making monkey noises at the little girl and her family. Her parents said, it happened so quickly they didn't even know what had happened until they looked up and saw the men driving away shouting.
They contacted the police and who are looking for a faded red pick up truck with a black bed cover. The truck had two or three men in the truck. Saniya's parents said, they were too stunned to get the description of the men and the plate number of the pick up truck. However, the police are looking at the surveillance videos to see if they can see a description of the men and the plate number of the truck. But, without a good description of the men and the plate number, it is unlikely the police will catch the men who are likely to do it again, because they got away with it.
It is terrible that a 6 year old is a victim of hate crime at the hands of adults. The six year old looked at her mommy and said, "Why did they do that?" Little Saniya was confused and didn't even know what was going on. I am sure she will remember this incident for the rest of her life. You can't blame it on the area, because Livonia is a nice area.

Has anyone noticed the coupon fliers haven't been that good lately? At least in the Southeastern part of Michigan the coupon inserts haven't been very good. I have noticed in the last few weeks that the prices in the stores have gone up and the coupon fliers haven't been very good. With school shopping just around the corner, this is when the need the coupons most. There has been some buzz in the news about how some stores, such as Rite Aid will no longer be accepting store coupons and manufacturer coupons combined. That is one of the only problems with making television shows about extreme couponing. The big corporations get wind that it is something that has become a hobby for some people and they become afraid of losing money and they find ways to stop people from doing from doubling up on the store savings and manufacturer savings.

Help Native American Families Living In The State Of Nevada

As most of you know I have designed the website The Comfort Zone to raise awareness and to fight against hate crimes. Too many people turn the other way when brutal hate crimes occur, either thinking "They don't want to get involved" or "What can one person can do?" One person can do a lot. Change happens one person at a time. The idea of change is born one person at a time. Where would the United States be today if all those one persons didn't stand up and fight for all the injustice in the United States? Would voting be open to all races and women? Would the slaves have been freed? They fought for the freedom of their race and gender. Continue the fight they started. It is our God given right to be treated equally. It all began with one person standing up and fighting for their rights and the rights of others. Don't make their fight be in vein. Make a promise to yourself to make a difference one person at a time. The best place to start is with yourself.

I am asking that the followers of my site join in a make a difference in the lives of others. Sign the petition above and make a difference in the lives in the Native Americans in the state of Nevada. If you wish to join in on the fight to help Native Americans living in Nevada, sign the petition and you will see the links to tweet the links, post the links on Facebook or to get a copy of the link to post on your sight.
